You may remember me posting about the Micro Machines, and the stuff I retrieved from my parent’s garage. Another thing I got at that time was a toy I loved as a kid: Marble Works. It’s a set of tracks that lets you build a track for marbles. Super fun. Soph found it in the garage and begged to play with it. The girls (and Steph and I) played with it for a couple weeks with no trouble. Then last Monday night Steph ran to the store for 15 minutes. While she was gone (of course it happened on my watch), Soph decided to put one of the marbles in her mouth. Before she knew it she accidentally swallowed it. Our kids have never been big on putting stuff in their mouths so this was a surprise. Soph came over to me crying out of shock and discomfort – it hurt a little going down. She was fine in about a minute.
I called my Mom right away (because that’s what you do for this sort of thing). Strangely enough, she wasn’t 100% sure on this one, so we called our doctor’s office. They said to just let it pass. Which we did. The Marble Watch began. It took five days. No harm done.
*NOT the same marble that Sophie passed. That would be gross.
