I really enjoy running. I'm also addicted to my Nike+ running system. I bring it up because I reached some milestones: today I ran my 100th Nike+ run. Yesterday I ran my 500th Kilometer on the Nike+. My first run with the system was January 30th of this year. So if I add in my miles from January before getting my iPod, my yearly total is 402.17 miles. I only mention this because I set a News Years resolution this year to reach 500 miles. I have had a coupe of injuries this year that have kept me off the road; I missed six weeks at the beginning of the summer. But my goal is within reach. I know no one probably cares, but just posting this will make it a little more official for me and help me do it. Fingers crossed for no more injuries (I’m such a klutz).
I’m a running geek and keep good records on my runs. I started running again July 9, 2005 for no particular reason other than I was fat. That year I ran 123 miles. 2006 I ran 216 miles (I died off in the fall, not sure why but Juby was 5-9 months old- may have had something to do with it). In 2007 I ran 271 miles; I didn’t run in January, but I ran consistently the rest of the year. So, to run 500 this year is sorta a big jump. Its really not that much mileage, but I have never done it as an adult.
Other running news: my dad just got the Nike+ system. Hopefully he likes it and I’ll actually know one of the other people using it.
