SoCo, or the South Congress area, is the hipster-fueled happening part of town where most of Austin's well known traits are in full force. We went on a investigative mission with Debby to get a full dose of the SoCo district last Saturday morning.
First, the girls just had to "climb" this tree.
This pic could have been a lot better had we known Kevin was taking it. Not pictured is our stop at Home Slice, a really popular SoCo pizza joint. We arrived just before the rush and ordered a ricotta, roasted red pepper, and sausage pizza. Wow. Debby also found a pretty necklace and we bought some photos of Austin at local outdoor vendors.
Children's Museum kitchen. What you can't see is the other end where there is a bar with parents sitting and kids "serving" them food, diner style.
Here we captured Juby's new obsession with raising her hand to speak.
This pulley operates a parachute man.
Sophie wanted to catch some shut-eye on this comfy bed.
We also visited the Congress Street Bat Bridge and hit several museums over the weekend. It was fun but exhausting. Lets just say Debby had no trouble adjusting to central time. Come 9:00 every night, we were ALL tired!
