Easter

Easter was good this year because our families made it good. Saturday night we were at Mom & Dad's house for a nice Easter dinner. Mom got everyone SOLID chocolate bunnies. I got Stephie a toy lamb (Sophie still thinks all the toy lambs at our house are hers). It was very nice, especially since Amy, Shane, and Kiz came down. I did forget the camera, though.

Easter day we went over to Casa Nelson. Darren and Mimi put together an Easter egg hunt for the girls. Unfortunately Kristen didn't make the trip up this time. This picture of Juby with her eyes closed is the best of the bunch that shows the Easter dresses:

Steph has been putting together an arrengement of a Coldplay song for one of her groups, and she got help from Jordan and Val on it while they were all together (Darren had to leave before they could get started- too bad, the full quartet could have jammed). Steph (& Val & Jordan) will probably be mad at me for posting this. Whatever. The sound quality is bad, and the video quality is bad, both because this was taken on our picture camera. The filming is bad because I was trying not to be noticed while filming. This is very early on in the arranging process; It's pretty hard to take a song and arrange it for strings so that a middle school orchestra can play it. Steph did finish arranging it because of the help she received from Jordan and Val, and her middle school group is super excited to play it. This has become a tradition of Steph's. She always arranged a modern pop or rock song for her groups to play at the end of the year when she taught high school. So far Steph's groups have done The Beattles, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, TV on the Radio, and now Coldplay. Pretty good list.
