Fw: Hero...?

One of Steph's students wrote this for her English class. I, um, loved it. Second to last paragraph, last three sentences- thats all I have to say.

Steph will probably kill me for posting this.

With out further adieu:

My Everyday Hero

Most girls or guys pick famous people has there hero. They look up to people like Tony Hawk, Avril Lavigne, Chris Martin, Haley Williams, and Ryan Sheckler. But, do they really know enough to know what they do out of their famous life? What do they like to do for fun? What are their dreams, life goals? What makes them their hero? What makes you look up to them? What’s so special about them? Is it their looks? The way they give speeches, for people when someone else probably wrote it for them. Is it they way they sing or play someone in a movie or show? How do they know their hero is really their hero? That’s why my everyday hero is someone I know well. Someone I look up to for a lot of things. She shows and tells me giving up is never the answer. She tells me what I need to work on and improve on. This girl is my orchestra teacher. Stephanie Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson is great in many ways. But, one of the ways she is so wonderful is that she never tells me to give up. She is so encouraging! Mrs. Johnson tells me what I need to fix when I’m playing my cello, and she doesn’t do it in a mean way, she just simply tells me, “you need to move your hand back a little bit and your E won’t be flat.” She is a great violinist! I bet she could make history by the way she plays.

Another way Mrs. Johnson is so amazing is that you can ask her a question, and she will give you a honest answer. I know she would never lie just for someone to hear what she thinks they want to hear. She is very straight forward. And I love that about her. Also, that what a good hero should do. Is just to be honest no matter what. Be straight forward. Tell people what she thinks. That’s all. She is just simply amazing.

My personal favorite thing about Mrs. Johnson is that she is very unique! She has her own style. She has her own thing. Everyone has there own thing. But, she is way different. She can just sit there day after day listening to the same song so we can play it as an orchestra. Mrs. Johnson is very caring. She really does care about our orchestra, and would do anything to make us sound good. That’s just a tiny part of her style. Her personality is just outstanding! I love it! Mrs. Johnson is funny, serious, odd, and just random all at the sometime. Sometimes you don’t understand what she is talking about. So, you just pretend you do. Either way she is still my hero.

Mrs. Johnson is my hero. And she always will be. She is caring, honest, unique, and so much more that I just can’t put into words. And I really know her. She is just not some famous person I look up to. Even though she could be, and if she does become famous I can be the girl who says.
